Chew on This
Discover a symphony of silliness—a whimsical journey through splashes of color and bursts of laughter, where each chew tells a story...
An Intro
This poem is written in the nonet poetic form, which consists of nine lines. The first line typically has nine syllables, with each subsequent line decreasing by one syllable until the last line has just one syllable.
Because I like to really challenge myself, I decided to not only try a new poetic format but to make it double!
The poem is inspired by a photo I took last year while visiting The Gum Wall in Seattle, WA.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments. :)
Sticky canvas, splashed with whimsy hues,
Gum blobs mark a rainbow chart,
Chewed-up dreams stuck in time,
A quirky street art,
Chicle mural,
Sticky fun,
Popped joy,
Sweet,
Chew.
Snap!
Bubbles
of laughter,
Silly mosaics,
Patterns of mirth plastered,
On walls that echo giggles,
Sugar-spun tales cling tightly,
A collage of playful moments,
Celebrating the joy of nonsense, so.
